A weekend at Hotel Villa Honegg
Hello Guys,
I hope you are well and enjoying your weekend! I know it’s been a few weeks since my last post on the blog, but as you’ve seen on my IG, I spent all these days between meetings, shootings and very cool events, and of course preparing some super amazing projects for the next year!
We are only 2 weekends before Christmas, and I am here today to share with you my experience about the weekend that I spent at Villa Honegg, the famous boutique hotel in the heart of Switzerland! There was a lot of you who asked me about the famous infinity pool with the stunning lake view, and to be honest I think it’s so difficult to describe the feeling when you visit the hotel and enjoy that warm pool with the breathtaking view!
The Hotel Villa Honegg is an exceptional 5-star Superior establishment set in the heart of Switzerland. Perched high above Lake Lucerne and offering exclusive amenities, the Villa Honegg presents a unique proposition. The Art Nouveau-style villa on the Bürgenstock was built in 1905 and reopened in 2011 following a complete refurbishment that succeeded in preserving its historical charm!
From the first minute at the hotel, I had the feeling for this experience will be something so unique and I really couldn’t wait to see my Corner Suite! The Corner Suite are furnished with an eye for detail and comfort. Alongside the bedroom and its comfortable king-size bed, the 51 m2 suites offer a separable lounge area with a separate WC. So that’s the perfect place to spend my weekend!
Of course one of the first things, after discovering my suite, was to go directly at the famous Spa of Villa Honegg, one of the most delightful wellness facilities in Switzerland. As you can imagine I spend most of my day in the 34ºC heated outdoor pool, relaxing and enjoying the views of the mountains and the lake or the sea of clouds in the valley below! Of course, I couldn’t finish my day at the spa, whithout a massage treatment!
After all this relaxation, it was dinner time, and of course, I chose to have dinner at the stylishly furnished restaurant of Villa Honegg. Awarded 14 Gault-Millau points, Villa Honegg cuisine focuses on locally sourced, seasonal ingredients! Because both of the 2 nights I had dinner at the restaurant I can totally say that every dish that I tasted was amazing and for sure the restaurant is worthy at the so high-level standards of a 5 stars hotel! Some of the dishes that we tasted, and I totally recomend them to you at your next visit are : the Veal tatar , the Honegg Mezzeh , the Nidwalden barley soup, the Game consomme with Escuro liquer, the Roasted saddle of Swiss venison ragout, the Crispy cornmeal poulard breast. Also our dinner couldn’t finish without desert, so some of my choises were the famous “Ruebli”, the Vegan Lava chocolate cake , mouse au chocolat and chestnut home made ice cream!
I hope that through this post you can get a part of my feeling after my visiting at Villa Honegg, and of course,a visit at this so unique hotel is a must!
Thank you very much Villa Honegg for the hospitality and I can’t wait for my next visit!
