Montreux Jazz Festival 2018 with MAC cosmetics
Hello Guys,
I hope you are well and enjoying your summer! I know its been 3 weeks since I posted my last post on the blog, but I always keep you updated through my IG!This period, even if I am busy because of an upcoming project, which I will be able to announce you very soon, I finally took some days off and I spend some summer days in Greece! However, as you've also seen on my IG, last week a travel for 2 days in Milan, because I had some meetings there, and of course because Milan is always a good idea!
Likewise, as most of you during the summer, I am so excited when I am able to visit some summer festivals! Switzerland is worldwide famous for its summer festival, and of course, I was so happy when I receive the invitation from M·A·C cosmetics to be with them for a weekend at Montreux Jazz Festival 2018! Since many years M·A·C is the official Make-up supplier of the Festival !
It was the first time that I visited Montreux and was so impressed! For sure It is one of the best places that I've visited in Switzerland!Of course Montreux was also so amazing because of the Jazz Festival!
As Mathieu Jaton, CEO Montreux Jazz Festival, said the spirit of the Montreux Jazz Festival could be summed up in three words "Take the time!".
The Montreux Jazz Festival takes places over 2 weeks each summer in Switzerland on the shore of Lake Geneva. with ambitious programming choices and a warm welcome forged in the hospitality industry, the festival offers a haven of peace to both artists and public - time seems to stop as the most improbable encounters become reality.
The Montreux Jazz Festival was created in 1967 by Claude Nobs, Rene Langel and Geo Vourmard and has since become a landmark event! Not because it draws more than 250000 visitors, or because those two weeks in Montreux make up one of the best- known events in Europe and beyond, but rather because the Festival has kept its soul intact throughout all this growth!
While jazz and blues are the roots of this event, other styles of music quickly found their place as well, anchored by artistic encounters between generations of musicians and unique experiments. Montreux has seen historic performances by artists including Nina Simone, Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Marvin Gaye, Prince, Leonard Cohen m David Bowie and Stevie Wonder!
The weekend that I visited the Festival, were supposed to enjoy a performance of a magnetically charismatic English musician, Rory Graham aka Rag'n'Bone! Unfortunately, due to health issues, he was not able to sing.
Although, this day also we were able to enjoy Angus and Julia Stone, which they extend their performance!
Folk is a Stone family affair , carved in an exquisite softness, After their adventure in Los Angeles with prestigious U.S. producer Rick Rubin, these Australians have created an intimate project written with four hands. And it was in Switzerland, on the slopes of a snowy mountain that they came up with the premise for Snow, Back in their home country, the Stones cloistered themselves in Angus' cattle farm in the hinterlands of Byron Bay, Connected to nature, they composed the sunny melodies of Snow around a dusty organ from the 1960s that they picked up second hand, Transmitting by turns spleen and euphoria , the duo sings the poetry of Baudelaire and the Hollywood follies o the Chateau Marmont!
Of course on a trip with M·A·C, I had the opportunity to get a male grooming look by M·A·C experts and of course to have a M·A·C backstage access and visit before the show!
Thank you so much M·A·C for this so special experience and for giving me the opportunity to be there with you!
